FAQs

Kathmandu, answered

Can't find your answer? Our travel experts are a call or WhatsApp away, 24×7.

Do Indians need a visa or passport for Nepal?

No visa is needed for Indian citizens. Carry a valid passport or voter ID card. Children can travel with a school ID plus birth certificate.

Can I pay in Indian rupees in Kathmandu?

Yes — INR notes of ₹100 and below are widely accepted. We recommend exchanging a small amount to NPR for local markets. Note that ₹500/₹2000 notes are not accepted.

When is the best time to visit?

October–November for clear mountain views and festivals, or March–April for spring weather. Winters are cold but crowd-free; monsoon (Jun–Sep) is best avoided.

Can I combine Kathmandu with Pokhara or Darjeeling?

Absolutely — our packages cover Pokhara, Chitwan, Jomsom and Kailash, and overland routes via Siliguri let you combine Nepal with Darjeeling or Sikkim. Ask us for a combined itinerary.

Is Kathmandu safe for families and senior citizens?

Yes — it's one of the friendliest destinations for Indian travellers. We use trusted hotels and experienced drivers, and our team is reachable 24×7 throughout your trip.
